LEE – Robin E. Cobb, 55, passed away Jan. 10, 2010, in Jay. She was born Nov. 7, 1954, in Lincoln, the daughter of June M. Sherwood. Robin was employed at Great Northern Paper Co. from 1976 until her recent illness forced her to retire. She was a hard worker and a very determined person. She was loved by all. She is survived by her stepdaughters, Jennifer Noonan of North Attleboro, Mass., and Denise Cobb of Middleboro, Mass.; two sons, Ryan Cobb and Stephanie of Lee, and Darrin Cobb and Sarah of Bangor; two grandchildren, Gaige Cobb of Lee and Kollin Osnoe of Danforth; five brothers, Steve Sherwood and Audrey of Medway, Kurt Sherwood and Lisa of Augusta, Ansel McLaughlin and Colleen of Medway, Wayne McLaughlin and Rhonda, and Chris McLaughlin and Jackie, all of North Anson; sisters-in-law, Debbie Frost of Rangeley and Deanna McClure of Kingfield; brother-in-law, Derek Cobb of Turner; her former husband and the father of her two sons, David Cobb, whom she married in September 1987; her mother-in-law and fiance, Madeline Trask and Gordon Grigsby of Jay; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother, June Sherwood; and a brother, Karl McLaughlin. Friends may call 10 a.m.-noon and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Vince Hartford officiating. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Lee. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to American Cancer Society or to help with funeral expenses.
