Congratulations to everyone associated with the Jonesboro Grange, which will be celebrating its 100th birthday at 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, at the Grange Hall.

Charlotte Dilworth is chairwoman of this special event, which will be held weather permitting, Dilworth said in her e-mail.

The celebration includes a performance by members of the University of Maine at Machias UKE Club. The public is invited to “come and enjoy yourselves with music and dancing. Ice cream and cake will be served,” Dilworth said.

Donations will be accepted at the door. The proceeds will benefit the Grange’s roof and ramp projects.

The celebration includes a 50-50 drawing. “If weather is a question,” Dilworth wrote, “call 434-6910 or 434-6221 to make sure things will be happening.”
