BANGOR – Madeline (Martin) Tesseo, 69, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010, at a local hospital. She was born Sept. 7, 1940, in Brewer, to Wilbur C. Martin and Margaret (Wolverton) Martin. Madeline was a 1958 graduate of Orono High School. She later worked for New England Telephone Co. for 33 years. After retirement, Madeline continued on as a contractor/ consultant for the company until 2005. Fond of traveling and known for her sense of humor, Madeline treasured her friends and family and enjoyed laughing with them often, wherever they lived. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her two sons, Martin Tesseo of Bangor and Todd Tesseo and his wife, Christine, of Bellingham, Mass.; two grandchildren, Quinn and Kiley; her two aunts, Cynthia Libbey and Joan Scripture of Bangor; and her uncle, John Libbey of Bangor. Madeline was predeceased by her parents. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 6-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, at St. Paul the Apostle, St. John’s Roman Catholic Church, 207 York St., Bangor. Interment will be held in the spring at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor. After the service relatives and friends are welcome to share conversation and refreshments at Brookings-Smith Family Center, 163 Center St., Bangor.
