MADISON – Catherine A. “Kitty” Gunther, passed on peacefully Jan. 17, 2010, with her family by her side. She was born Nov. 27, 1930, in New York City. She was predeceased by her three sons, Robert, Austin and Larry Gunther. She is survived by her husband, Charles of Cornville; daughter, Joyce Petrosky and son-in-law, David Petrosky, of Holden; and son, John Holwitz and wife, Julie and family, of Jamul, Calif. She also leaves 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The family thanks the staff at Woodlands Alzheimer’s unit of Brewer, and Maplecrest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Madison, for the wonderful and loving care Catherine received throughout the past three years. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 22, at Giberson Funeral Home, 40 Maple St., Madison.
