SEAL COVE – Marion E. Kelley, 78, passed away Jan. 15, 2010, surrounded by her family at Mount Desert Island Hospital, Bar Harbor. She was born March 16, 1932, in Tremont, daughter of the late Edwin and Flora (Robinson) Seavey. Marion worked in the cafeteria at Mount Desert Island High School for 32 years and saw several of her great-grandchildren graduate. Marion was predeceased by her husband, Robert F. Kelley Sr. of Seal Cove; her brothers, William, Everett and Kenneth; and her younger sister, Kathryn (Seavey) Murphy. She is survived by her brother, Austin “Buddy” Seavey and wife, Marie, of Seal Cove. She is also survived by her daughter, Betty (Kelley) Merchant and husband, Scott, of Northeast Harbor; her son, Robert F. Kelley Jr. and wife, Jill, of Southwest Harbor; grandchildren, Lori (Merchant) Fallon and husband, Tim, and Tammy (Merchant) Rumill and husband, Frank Jr., of Tremont, Stacey (Merchant) Wilbur of Gouldsboro, and Sean Kelley of Southwest Harbor; great-grandchildren, Erica, Dusten, Brittany, Brooke, Kaitlynn and Bryce; and many other devoted relatives and friends. A graveside service will be held in the spring.
