BREWER – Ruth E. Wishart, 85, died Jan. 24, 2010, at her home. She received her Bachelor of Science from Husson University and her Master of Education from the University of Maine. She taught at Carmel, Howland and Brewer high schools. While at Brewer High School, she was advisor to National Honor Society, Commercial Club and Journalism Club. Ruthie was devoted to her church, Second Congregational Church of Brewer; serving as church secretary, clerk, choir member, women’s fellowship, Bible study group and all around faithful member who was always willing to spend her time with love and devotion. Her quiet, calm smile soothed everyone. She will always be remembered for her love of family and many, many friends.
