BANGOR – Jeanette M. Gary, 79, died Jan. 30, 2010, surrounded by her loving family at a local hospital. She was born Nov. 8, 1930, in London, the daughter of Axel and Jessie (Knightbridge) Gren. Jeanette retired from the University of Maine at Bangor and enjoyed traveling extensively with her husband, Earl, for many years. She is survived by her husband, Earl Gary of Bangor; her daughter and husband, Christine and Stuart Hodgman of Veazie; two sons, Earl Gary Jr. and his wife, Avis, of East Corinth and Richard Gary and his friend, Tom Poulin, of Bangor; five grandchildren and their families, Patrick and Robin Bouchard, Wayne and Karen Bouchard, Jennifer and Eric Damon, Earl Gary III, and Nicole Long; and other close family members and friends. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Peter Sprague, pastor of Columbia Street Baptist Church, officiating.
