BANGOR – Scott P. Lander, 37, went home to be with the Lord Feb. 26, 2010. He was born Oct. 3, 1972, in Colorado Springs, Colo., son of Philip and Marilyn (Goos) Lander. Scott was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed baseball and football for Bangor High School. His skill and love of construction inspired the development of his family owned federal construction company, Atlantic Defense Co., LLC. Scott was a devoted and loving father and loyal friend. He is survived by his parents of Bangor; his wife, Mary Ann (Avery) Lander of Dedham; his son, Nicholas and daughter, Victoria, both of Dedham; his brother and his wife, Joshua and Heather Lander of Clifton; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, and lots of friends. The family sends special thanks to Scott’s coaches and mentors, David Mansfield, Gabbie Price and Bruce Morse. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where a service of remembrance will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, March 4, with the Rev. Robert T. Carlson, family friend, officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Rooms of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor, immediately after the service. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
