ST. AGATHA – Catherine Morneault, 97, died peacefully March 4, 2010, at a Madawaska health facility. She was born Oct. 31, 1912, in St. Agatha, the daughter of Romain and Lea “Raymond” Plourde. She was a member of Ladies of St. Anne, American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 145, Frenchville and Senior Citizen Club, Sinclair. She is survived by eight sons and their wives, Adrien and Jeannine of Madawaska, Joel and Sylvia of Ohio, Vincent and Karen of St. Agatha, Philip and Sabra of Georgia, George and Lorraine of St. David, James and Carol of St. Agatha, Rosaire and Rita of Frenchville and Richard of Illinois; four daughters and their husbands, Sylvia and Richie, Robertine and Bill, both of Connecticut, Marcella and Peter of Florida and Anita and Ron of Connecticut; 28 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandkids; one brother, Rosaire Plourde of Connecticut; and one son-in-law, Jerry. She was predeceased by her husband, Leo Morneault; and one daughter, Vivian. Friends and relatives may call 6-8 p.m. Sunday, March 7, and 8:30 a.m. until the time of service Monday, March 8, at Michaud Funeral Home, St. Agatha. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of the Valley Church, St. Agatha, with the Rev. Phil Cyr officiating. Burial will be in the spring at St. Agatha Lower Cemetery.
