HOWLAND – Bonnie S. Hallett, 62, died peacefully March 15, 2010, surrounded by family and friends at the home of Jeffrey C. and Denise (Hallett) Davis, in the arms of her beloved daughter, Denise Davis. She was born June 18, 1947, in Lincoln, the second of two daughters of Robert and Gloria (Forrest) Drake. Bonnie graduated from Penobscot Valley High School in 1965, where she participated in many school activities – her favorite being cheerleading, at which she excelled as varsity captain in her senior year. For all of her life, Bonnie maintained close personal relationships with the Drake, Forrest, Martin, Hallett and Davis families and all of the friends that came to know her during the years. Bonnie was formerly a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9429, West Enfield, and Cootie Pup Tent ME021, Old Town. She also participated in the activities of Black Bear Chapter 82nd Airborne Division Association, Augusta. Bonnie was always ready with a smile and a kind word for anyone and she will surely be missed by the many that knew her. Bonnie leaves her daughter, Denise M. (Hallett) Davis and her husband, Jeffrey Davis, of Gardner, Mass.; and her fiance of many years, Thomas Andrus of Howland. Visiting hours will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday, March 18, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 19, at St. Leo’s Catholic Church, Howland.
