ASHLAND – Nathan G. Clark, 65, passed away early Wednesday morning, March 17, 2010, at his residence, after a brief illness with cancer. He was born March 27, 1944, in Ashland, the son of James and Lena (Baker) Clark. Nathan was employed as a carpenter and a mason for many years. He is survived by his significant other, Teresa Godsoe; and a daughter, April Godsoe of Ashland; a son, Clifford Clark and his friend, Ashley Tilley, of Presque Isle; a granddaughter, Amanda Bishop of Presque Isle; two grandsons, Joshua and Ethan Clark of Presque Isle; a brother, Wayne Clark and his fianc?e, Betty, of Ashland; six sisters, Thelma Carney of Fort Fairfield, Velma Holmes of Washburn, Hilda Spooner of Ashland, Eunice Tarbox of Presque Isle, Linda Beaulier and her husband, Rene, of Mapleton, and Helen Kozoil and her husband, Edward, of Montgomery, Mass.; two special nieces, Darlene Blair of Presque Isle and Sharon Boulier of Kentucky; many other nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; a daughter, Cindy Bishop; an infant son, Nathan Clark Jr.; sisters, Tina Avery and Louann Baker; a brother, Larry Clark; and a niece, Lori Argraves. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, March 20, at Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Presque Isle, with the Rev. Raymond Morency, celebrant. Spring interment will be at Frenchville Cemetery, Ashland.
