BELFAST – Fannie E. Clements, 89, passed away March 23, 2010, at Harbor Hill, Belfast. She was born March 31, 1920, in Belmont, daughter of Harry and Alberta (Clement) Greer. In her early years she worked for the public finance company and was a medical receptionist locally for Dr. Black. Fannie’s most recent employment was as registrar of deeds for Waldo County for 25 years. She was a member of Belfast Order of the Eastern Star, and enjoyed bowling, playing golf and traveling. Fannie was predeceased by her husband, James. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Carol and Georgia Clements of Rhode Island; two grandchildren, James and Theresa Clements, and Lori and Alan Richards, all of Rhode Island; four great-grandchildren, a nephew and two nieces. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 22, at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. April 23 with the Rev. Joel Krueger and the Rev.
