BANGOR – Gertrude “Trudy” (Tourtillotte) Deyone, 82, died Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at her home. She was born Aug. 25, 1927, in Passadumkeag, the daughter of Warren and Louise (McKenney) Tourtillotte. Trudy grew up in Passadumkeag and attended Howland schools. She was a graduate of Eastern Maine Beauty Academy. Trudy enjoyed a variety of careers including many years as a hairdresser, manager of House of Brides, and house mother and secretary of Husson College School of Nursing. She was a member of Jaycee Wives Club and enjoyed gardening. Trudy is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Ronald Deyone; son, Michael Deyone and his wife, Michelle, of Bangor; daughter, Cynthia Milles and her husband, Gary, of Bangor; brother, Randall Tourtillotte and his wife, Barbara, of Howland; grandchildren, Ryan Maher and his wife, Christen, of Manchester, N.H., Corey Maher and his wife, Rachel, of Glenburn, Erik Milles of Bangor, and Melanie McGrath and her husband, Dennis, of Bangor; great- grandchildren, Conner, Patrick, Gavin, Cameron and Jordyn; niece, Brenda Campbell and her husband, Ron, of Orrington; and nephew, Gary Tourtillotte and his wife, Karen, of Howland. In addition to her parents, Trudy was predeceased by her brother, Warren “Toddie” Tourtillotte; and twin great-grandchildren, Alexis and Colby McGrath. The family thanks Dr. Elizabeth Weiss, New Hope Hospice nurses and aides, caretakers Joyce and Sally, and all her friends at Sunbury Village for their care and support throughout Trudy’s illness. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 26, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, March 27, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 768 Ohio St., Bangor.
