DIXMONT and MILO – Jamie B. Pickard, 57, died March 26, 2010, after a long battle with cancer. She was born May 15, 1952, in Milo, the daughter of James A. Sr. and Agnes (Stone) Pickard. Jamie was a graduate of Penquis Valley High School, Class of 1971, and Eastern Maine Technical College. She was a past worthy matron of Tuscan Chapter Order of the Eastern Star and a past worthy advisor of Brownville Assembly, International Order of the Rainbow for Girls. She was a member of Park Street United Methodist Church, Milo. Jamie is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Stubbs of Dixmont and Amy Stubbs of Laramie, Wyo.; her mother, Agnes Pickard of Bowerbank; two brothers, Asa and his wife, Ramona Pickard, of Sanford and James A. Pickard Jr. of Bangor; a niece, Amanda and her husband, Raymond Williams, of Sanford; two nephews, Asa and his wife, Trista Pickard, of Fort Riley, Kan., and William and his wife, Judy Pickard, of Bowerbank; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Jamie will be remembered by a special family friend, Sarah Dickson and her very special lifelong friend, Diane Smith of Atkinson. She was predeceased by her father; and a sister, Bonnie Pickard. A funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, March 29, at Lary Funeral Home, Milo. Burial will be in the family lot at Evergreen Cemetery.
