MILLINOCKET – Janet P. Burke, 77, went to be with the Lord Friday, March 26, 2010, exhaling her last earthly breath while drawing her first heavenly breath. She was born Dec. 23, 1932, in Millinocket. Janet enjoyed many years at Soudnahunk Lake. One of her greatest pastimes was shopping. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and was kind and generous to all who knew her. She will be sadly missed. Janet is survived by three children, Richard Labby and his wife, Linda, Paula Birt and her husband, Jonathan, and Gloria Mason and her husband, Shawn; a sister, Ellen Morrison; two stepsons, Scott and Wayne Burke; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She also leaves behind her special caregivers at Stearns Assisted Living Center, Millinocket. In addition to her parents, Janet was predeceased by two husbands, Arnold E. Labby and Gerald M. Burke; a son, Ralph Everrette Labby; a special stepdaughter, Lynn Burke; and stepson, Gerald M. Burke Jr. Friends are invited to visit with the family 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, March 31, at Calvary Temple Assembly of God, 2 Orchard St., East Millinocket, where memorial services will be held 11 a.m. with the Rev.
