CALAIS – Rosena Abigail Stone, 90, passed away Saturday, March 27, 2010, at her home. Rosena was born April 20, 1919, in Bayside, New Brunswick, daughter of the late Leo and Frances (Greenlaw) Conley. After graduating from high school, she attended Mary Crab Business School, St. Stephen, New Brunswick. Rosena worked in the local fish factories in Eastport and was a stitcher for Ware Knitters, Calais. She attended First Baptist Church of Calais and enjoyed crocheting, knitting and spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, Rosena was predeceased by her husband, Lewis A. Stone; grandson-in-law, Christopher Eagan; her sister, Agnes Pottle; and a nephew, Raymond Pottle. Surviving are her son, Lewis R. Stone and his wife, Mary, of Calais; four grandchildren, Dawn Moraisey and her husband, Donald, of Alexander, Carol Eagan of Calais, Cyrstal McPhee and her husband, Corey, of Calais and Tina Perkins of Baring; a niece, Winifred Fowler and her husband, Carl, of Prospect; and many dear friends. In keeping with Rosena’s wishes, services will be private. Burial will take place at Calais Cemetery. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais and Eastport.
