MILLINOCKET and LINCOLN – Ida “Bubbles” Boss Hunter, 80, passed away March 30, 2010, at Katahdin Health Care, Millinocket. Throughout the years, Bubbles had many great friends. She enjoyed meeting for lunch, playing cards and playing Beano. She was a member of American Legion, Lincoln. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Agnes Boss; three husbands, Shirley Curtis, Ronald Mackin and Charles “Freddie” Hunter; a brother, Charles Boss Sr.; and a sister, Agnes “Fatty” Perry. She was the beloved mother of Bonnie (Curtis) Estabrook and husband, Gary, of Berea, Ky., Donna (Curtis) Koch and husband, Tom, of Avon, N.Y., Lea Ann (Mackin) Jandreau and husband, Dick, of Millinocket, Ronald “Chum” Mackin and wife, Karen, of Millinocket, Tammy (Mackin) Hersey and husband, Kris, of Millinocket, Dawn Marie (Mackin) Boynton of Fort Myers, Fla., and Penny (Mackin) Collins and husband, Jon, of Millinocket; and stepmother of seven. “Nannie” will be sadly missed by her 18 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Interment will be at a later date at Millinocket Cemetery.
