FORT KENT – Lucien Bertrand Michaud, 83, died March 29, 2010, at a Fort Kent health care facility. He was born Jan. 4, 1927, in Lewiston, the son of Pierre and Emelia (St. Onge) Michaud. He was a member of St. Louis Parish. He enjoyed playing cards and working on crossword puzzles. His favorite pastime was spending time with his loving and devoted wife, Emily. He was a World War II veteran. He served as a military policeman with the U.S. Army. He was a mason who eventually started a company called Apex Construction. He was a member of Bricklayers Union and Builders Association. He is survived by his wife, Emily (Daigle) Michaud of Fort Kent; his daughters, Monica Levy and her husband, Vincent, of Windsor, Conn., Lucie Percy and her husband, John, of Enfield, Conn., Susan Carrabbia and Jeanne Woodstock and her husband, Russell, all of Windsor, Conn.; his son, Paul Michaud and his wife, Sharon, of Harwinton, Conn.; grandchildren, Angela Carrabbia, Lisa Ciaffiaglione and her husband, Mark, Amy, Sara and Jessie Woodstock, Alison Levy, Christopher, Robert and Catherine Michaud, and John and Devin Percy; and great-grandchildren, Luke Carrabbia, Bryan and Kacie Ciaffiaglione, all of Connecticut. He is also survived by stepsons, Gilford Daigle and his wife, Sandra, of St. Francis and Joel Daigle and his wife, Judy, of Frenchville; stepdaughters, Marie Bouley and her husband, Aurele, of Cross Lake, Linda Daigle of Sanford, N.C., Peggy Ouellette and her husband, Tim, and Brenda Caron and her husband, Reno, both of Fort Kent; several stepgrandchildren; and brothers, Joseph Michaud of St. Rose, Quebec, Gerard Michaud of Sebring, Fla., and Hilaire Michaud of Sept Lies, Quebec; sisters, Irene Lagrieux of Sebring, Fla., Lorraine Theriault of Fort Kent, Laurette Baron of New Britain, Conn., Pierrette Landry of St. Rose, Quebec and Rolande Grieenier of Quebec; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Lucienne (Ouellette) Michaud; and brother, Roland Michaud. Friends may call 8 a.m. until time of services Monday at Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent.
