BANGOR – Blanche N. Whitehouse, 85, died April 7, 2010, at a local hospital. She was born March 30, 1925, in Easton, the daughter of George and Annie (Tompkins) Clark. Blanche loved spending her summers at their Hermon Pond camp. She loved following her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s activities and spending time with all of them. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Cecil Whitehouse of Bangor; two sons and their wives, Jerry Whitehouse and Linda of Hermon and Dennis Whitehouse and Shirley of Millinocket; one daughter, Benita Burke of Holden; two sisters, Jeri Gordon and Alice Kinney, both of New York; 10 grandchildren, Carrie and Brandon Smith, Ryan and Beth Whitehouse, Molly and Steve Jamieson, Buffy and Brad Bingham, Tyler Whitehouse, Andrew and Erin Whitehouse, Craig and Christy Whitehouse, Lori and Tom Curran, Jeffrey and Brianna Whitehouse, and Adam Burke; and 13 great-grandchildren. The family thanks the physicians and staff at St. Joseph Hospital and Ross Manor for their excellent care. Services will be private for the family.
