AUGUSTA, Maine — Secretary Eric Shinseki of the Department of Veterans Affairs visited the VA Medical Center at Togus on Friday. He toured the facilities, chatted with veterans and met with administrators.

Shinseki, who visited Togus at the invitation of U.S. Rep. Michael Michaud of Maine’s 2nd District, told reporters he is committed to improving access to health care services for veterans in rural areas and to ending homelessness among military veterans.
