The state Legislature and Gov. John Baldacci have agreed to tax medical marijuana when dispensaries begin their business. This is a break from prescription medicines, which are not taxed in Maine. Is this fair? Should marijuana be treated differently? If it is taxed, does that open the door to legalization, by providing a revenue stream for state
government?
