BOSTON and GEORGETOWN, Texas – Jane E. Taylor, 58, a retired financial and real estate advisor, died early Wednesday morning, April 7, 2010, in Austin, Texas, after battling cancer. Jane Edwina Taylor was born Jan. 19, 1952, in Boston, the third child of the late Alden R. Taylor Jr. and Edwina Kelley Taylor. Jane was raised in Wilmington, Del., and graduated from Mount Pleasant Senior High School. She then attended Marjorie Webster Junior College and the University of Delaware. Her working career began in Boston, where she worked for a number of financial service organizations in client-service roles. She then moved to Alexandria, Va., and continued working in financial services. Concurrently, she pursued licensing as a real estate professional, ultimately establishing her own business in Virginia. She then moved to Belfast and worked for MBNA before retiring. In her retirement, Ms. Taylor traveled extensively. She is survived by her beloved companion, Kim Michael Nilles; a brother, Alden R. Taylor III; a sister, Mary Elizabeth Taylor; three nephews, a niece, a great-nephew and a great-niece. Memorial services in Maine and in Texas are being planned. As Ms. Taylor was a lifelong animal lover and an active participant in a national study of breast cancer treatment, the family requests that contributions in her memory be made to American Cancer Society or Georgetown Animal Shelter, P.O.
