ST. FRANCIS – Julienne (Jandreau) Ouellette, 97, died peacefully April 27, 2010, surrounded by her loving children at her home. She never wanted to be far from home, staying there until her return to the Lord. She was born Dec. 22, 1912, in St. Francis, the daughter of Eugene and Melvina (Michaud) Jandreau. Julienne lived her life completely dedicated to her husband of 62 years until his death. She also dedicated her life to the care and raising of her 11 children. This dedication was lived out in serving others and through prayer. Her life of prayer was a commitment to the church and for the well being of others. Her spiritual life was greatly influenced by her devotion to St. Anne. Through this devotion, as a member of the St. Charles Chapter, she learned and lived a lifelong way of prayer that strengthened her until her last days. St. Charles Church is where she lived out her life of faith in the sacraments. It is there that she supported the church through prayer and the education of her children in the faith. Her service to others was through hospitality in her home, always making sure everyone had enough to eat. Julienne is survived by her 11 children, Adam Ouellette of St. Francis, Rodrick Ouellette of Waterbury, Conn., Adrienne Blackwell of Gaffney, S.C., Gerald and his wife, Joanne Ouellette, of Bloomington, Calif., Letha and her husband, Larry Thurlow, of Poland Spring, Joseph “Allen” and his wife, Nancy Ouellette, of Oliva, N.C., Virginia and her husband, Kenneth Clifford, of Sabatus, Galen Ouellette, David Ouellette, Malvia Ouellette, all of St. Francis, and the Rev. Kent Ouellette of Bangor. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Adelord Ouellette, July 17, 1992; daughter-in-law, Roberta; son-in-law, Albert; three brothers, Aurelle, John Eugene; three sisters, Bernice, Delia and Helen; and two granddaughters. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Sunday and 9-10:30 a.m. Monday until the time of service at Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday at St. Charles Catholic Church, St. Francis. Committal services will be after at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.
