HOLDEN – Phillip D. Carpenter, 67, passed away May 20, 2010, with his family at his side at his home. He was born May 6, 1943, in Hancock, son of Phillip and Abbie (Grant) Carpenter. Phillip worked at various jobs, the latest being maintenance at the Holden Square Apartments, until his sickness. He is survived by his mother; his very dear friend and companion of 16 years, Anna Turner; two sons, Dwayne and his wife, Marcie, and Ronald; two daughters, Tootie and Cindy; brothers, David and his wife, Nancy, and Galen; three sisters, Jean Boynton, Karen Quimby and Toni and her husband, Billy Parsons; a very special granddaughter, Abigail; several nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by two brothers, Vern and Richard. A private service for the family will be held at a later date.
