VAN BUREN – Laurence “Larry” J. Morrow, 87, died May 25, 2010, at a Van Buren health care facility. He was born Aug. 9, 1922, in Hamlin, the son of Joseph and Marie (Doucette) Morrow. He married Anne Marie Lavoie in 1946. He was a charter member of Van Buren Lions Club, member of Van Buren Budget Committee, charter member of Gateway Federal Credit Union, Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree Assembly No. 0349, and past grand knight of Council 1635 in 1971. He was vice president of Van Buren ATV Club in 1997 and a member of Van Buren Snowmobile Club. He was a self-employed Studebaker auto dealer, then a Dodge dealer for 12 years. He then went into the construction business until his retirement. He was also an usher at Sunday Mass at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church for more than 35 years. Larry is survived by his wife of 66 years, Anne (Lavoie) Morrow of Van Buren; three sons, Ray and his wife, Brenda, of Smithfield, David and his wife, Bobbie, of Presque Isle, and Peter and his wife, France, of St. Leonard, New Brunswick; four daughters, Lynne Morrow of Colorado, Mary Moreau and her husband, Tom, of Biddeford Pool, Lou Ann Morrow of Florida, and Laurie Farmer and her husband, Alan, of Pownal; one granddaughter, Lindsay Moreau; three brothers, Armand Morrow and his wife, Frances, of Hamlin, Albert Morrow and his wife, Alice, of Van Buren, and Richard Morrow and his wife, Robbie, of Connecticut; and five sisters, Janet and her husband, Lionel, of Van Buren, Rita and Laurette, both of Colorado, Aurora of Hermon, and Cecile of Florida. He was predeceased by one brother, Rene Morrow; and four sisters, Celia, Ann, Sandra and Sadie. Relatives and friends may call 10:30 a.m. until time of service Saturday at Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Committal service and interment will be at Grande Riviere Cemetery.
