WISCASSET, Maine — A 23-year-old Maine woman has been charged in connection with a fatal hit-and-run accident two years ago.
Roxann Berry of Windsor was charged Tuesday with leaving the scene of an accident that killed 20-year-old Loren St. Cyr of Newcastle.
Police said St. Cyr was killed the night of Sept. 20, 2008, when he was struck by Berry’s car while walking on a road in Jefferson.
A second driver was unable to stop and also hit the victim, but that driver stopped to report the accident and was not charged.
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Lt. Rand Maker said a tip from a resident led to Berry’s arrest.
