SIDNEY – Nancy (Jandreau) Johnson, 43, passed away peacefully June 5, 2010, at her home after a seven-year battle with cancer, during which her courage and strength were an inspiration to all those who were lucky enough to have known her. She was born Aug. 28, 1966, in Waterville, the daughter of Donald and Pauline (Ouellette) Jandreau. Nancy was predeceased by her father, Donald; and brother-in-law, Jeff. She is survived by her devoted husband of 10 years, James “Jim” Johnson of Sidney; her mother, Pauline Jandreau of Waterville; sister, Judee Jandreau of Scarborough; and brothers, Don Jandreau of Waterville, Peter Jandreau and his wife, Carol, of Soldier Pond, Ricky Jandreau and his wife, Teri, of Waterville, Brian Jandreau of Norridgewock, Kevin Jandreau and his wife, Janice, of Fairfield, and David Jandreau and his wife, Kristie, of Winslow. Nancy adored all of her nieces and nephews. Jim’s sister and brother-in-law, John and Kath Pyska of North Monmouth, also shared a special relationship with Nancy. Nancy is also cherished by Jim’s siblings, Bill, Chris, Tom and Bob and his wife, Tracy. Visiting hours will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, June 10, at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, June 11, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Augusta. Burial will be at a later date at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Augusta.
