GREENVILLE, Maine — Residents voted 302-243 Tuesday to borrow up to $2 million to finance boiler and ventilation upgrades and related improvements at the Louis Oakes School building.
The work is part of a renovation project.
Voters favored extending more privileges to all-terrain vehicles. In straw polls, residents voted 274-268 to keep the Pritham Avenue ATV access route open each year in addition to a new power line trail. They also voted 304-227 to have an ATV access route from Eveleth Hill to Moosehead Lake Road through the blinking light to Lily Bay Road to Foss Street.
Richard Peat was elected to a three-year term on the Board of Selectmen and Ron Dobra to a two-year term on the Greenville School Committee. Both were uncontested.
Pete Johnson was re-elected to a three-year term on the school committee. Johnson received 372 votes and John “Jack” Neal received 137 votes.
