At Deer Isle, Britnie Jones hit a home run, triple and single with three RBIs as No. 2 Deer Isle-Stonington qualified for the regional title game for the first time with a semifinal victory over Limestone-Maine School of Science and Mathematics.
Sydney Ouzts pitched a complete-game four-hitter for the Mariners, striking out eight, walking no one and taking a shutout into the seventh inning before Limestone-MSSM’s Victoria St. Pierre hit a one-out home run.
Chelsea Brown added to Deer Isle-Stonington’s 19-hit attack with a double, two singles and two RBIs, while Hannah Siebert and Goldie Garcia each contributed two singles and two RBIs.
Chelsea Leighton added two singles for Limestone-MSSM.
