BROOKLIN – Maurice W. “Bill” Hardy, 81, died June 15, 2010, at his home. He was born July 2, 1928, in Orland, the son of Maurice F. and Ruby B. (Snowman) Hardy. Bill was a resident of Brooklin for the past 25 years. He was a member of the I00F of Brooklin, Masons Naskeag Lodge No. 171 and life member of American Legion. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Florence (Henderson) Hardy of Brooklin; brothers, Stanley Hardy and wife, Eunice, of Brooklin, and Lawrence Hardy and wife, Marsha, of Massachusetts; sisters, Jean Hedglin of Massachusetts, Juanita Monfet and husband, Bob, and Janice Fisher and husband, Charles, both of New Hampshire; a special nephew, Tom Hardy and wife, Gigi, of Brooklin; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Kay; and a brother, Wilfred. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, June 18, at Brooklin Cemetery with the Rev. Scott Cleveland officiating.
