STONINGTON – Richard P. Wheaton Sr., 62, died June 21, 2010, at his residence. He was born Sept. 14, 1947, in Castine, the son of Joe and Mary (Taylor) Dodge. Richard was in the U.S. Army for two years, serving in Germany as a generator mechanic. A graveside service with military honors will be celebrated 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, at Mount Rest Cemetery, Stonington.
