A recent survey by a University of Southern Maine professor found that one in four teens
has faced some sort of sexual harassment at work. What can be done to end this high rate
of harassment? Should those businesses employing teens have to provide their young
workers with a list of their rights, and an explanation of unwanted and offensive
behavior? Should the Department of Labor encourage reporting of such behavior, along
with implementing a system of fines? What would you tell your teen children before they
go off to summer or part-time jobs about sexual harassment?
