STACYVILLE – Robert E. Rodgerson Sr., 72, passed away July 1, 2010, at his residence. He was born Sept. 9, 1937, to Arthur E. and Luda (Mclain) Rodgerson. He served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1958, at which time he received an honorable discharge. He was predeceased by a daughter, Donna, in 1999. He is survived by his significant other, Joyce Hayes; his daughter, Pam and husband, Merrill, of Hampton, N.H.; sons, Robert E. Rodgerson Jr. of Seabrook, N.H., and Everett and family of Gardner, Mass.; Joyce’s son, Todd and his family; stepdaughters, Irene Heath of Stacyville and Bettyanne of East Holden; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Gilbert Rodgerson of Millinocket; two sisters, Marcia Baker of Bangor and Judy Lane of Hampton, N.J.; and a special grandson who is serving in the Army in Germany, Joe Rodgerson. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, July 10, at Disabled American Veterans Hall, Stacyville, with burial after at New Sherman Station Cemetery. Arrangements under the care of Direct Cremation of Maine, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast.
