ST. DAVID – Robert “Bob” E. Daigle, 52, passed away Sunday, July 4, 2010, surrounded by his loved ones at his home, after a courageous battle with cancer. One of six children, he was born Feb. 2, 1958, in Fort Kent, son of Elroy and the late Alphena (Blier) Daigle. Bob most recently worked for U.S. Customs, Madawaska, but has also been employed in Van Buren and Fort Kent. He will be greatly missed by his coworkers and friends, who were there to help and support him to the end. Bob enjoyed riding his motorcycle, snowmobiling, working outdoors, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his two beloved daughters, Kelly Reynolds and her husband, Travis, of Rockport and Nicole Daigle of St. David; two adored grandsons, Owen and Landon Reynolds of Rockport; his father, Elroy Daigle of Frenchville; three sisters, Ann Lee of Portland, Deborah Ouellette and her husband, Frank, of St. David and E. Carla Daigle of Waterville; two brothers, Glendon Daigle of Alexandrea, Va., and Daniel “Dan” Daigle of Buxton; many special nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He also leaves behind a special friend, Lise Landry, who was by his side to the end. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, July 9, at St. David Church.
