MACHIASPORT – Joseph A. Berry was taken into God’s loving care July 5, 2010, at a Bangor hospital, after a very long illness of cancer. He was born May 31, 1956, the son of Ray and Marjorie Berry. He lived with his loving wife, Irene. Through many years of marriage, they had two daughters, Dawn and husband, Kenny Link, and Crystal and husband, George Ingrish. He was the loving “Papa” to four beautiful grandchildren, Haylee, Caitlyn, Ryley and Harley. He lived his life for his family. His biggest enjoyment was camping and hanging with his best friend, James Cox. He was so proud of his girls and their barrel racing. He was a big part of anything that his girls or grandchildren were involved in. One of his favorite pastimes was his chickens and his little dog, Foxy. He was predeceased by his father, Ray Berry; his mother-in-law, Nancy Wood; and his grandparents, Adelaide and Winslow Davis, and Arletta and Clifford Berry. He was also predeceased by many aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife, daughters, grandchildren, mother; stepfather, Larry Grazioso; brothers and sisters, Greg Berry, Kim Comeau, Janet Green, Susan Nevells, Dalla Pennell, Marla Beam and Wade Berry; father-in-law, Lewis Wood; and brother-in-law, Lewis Wood Jr. and family. Special friends are James and Joni Cox, Debbie and Dave Nielsen, Vicki Maker and Laurie Richards. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. July 17 at Little Traftons Cemetery. A get-together for friends and family will be held after the service at Fort O’Brien School.
