DOVER-FOXCROFT — Phil Benoit pitched a no-hitter, walking four and striking out six in a six-inning, rain-shortened American Legion baseball Motor City 11-0 win over Penquis in Sunday’s night cap.
Motor City also won the first game 2-1.
In the first game, Cody Cross knocked in a run on a fielder’s choice in the fourth to tie it at 1-1 for Motor City. Jon Johnson scored the go-ahead run from third base in the fifth after Casey Estes was caught in a run down between first and second base. Benoit hit two singles.
Brandon Spratt drove in Penquis’ lone run on a ground out in the third. Jake Speed doubled and Zach Kirlin singled.
In the second game, Chris Hammond had two doubles, a single and two RBIs to lead Motor City. Casey Estes and Johnson each had two singles and an RBI.

At Blue Hill, righthander Seth Cote pitched five shutout innings in the rain-shortened game to lead the Acadians by Brewer Sunday.
Nick Saunders and Brad Folmer each chipped in with a single and RBI for the winners.
Kyle McLain doubled for Brewer.

Hampden, Brewer split
At Hampden, Hampden hit four-straight singles in the eighth inning, capped by a Ryan Blake single, scoring Andrew Closson from third, to lead Hampden to an 11-10 win over Brewer in Saturday’s first game.
The Falcons won the second game 16-5.
In the first game, Cody Miller hit three singles and two two-run home runs for five RBIs and four runs scored for Hampden. Josh Tardiff had a double, two singles and two RBIs.
Kyle McLain hit a two-run homer and a single to lead Brewer. Blake Birmingham had three singles and three RBIs and Jordan Richards added three singles and two RBIs.
In the second game, Eric White belted a three-run home run in the first, a three-run double in the sixth and a grand slam in the seventh drive home 10 runs for Brewer. Kyle McLain hit a single and a sixth-inning two-run home run. Chase Daniels added a double and three singles.
Derek Amoroso hit a double, a single and knocked in two runs for Hampden.
