EASTON – Alberta Clark Flanagan, 96, passed away Monday morning, July 12, 2010, at a Presque Isle health care facility after a brief illness. She was born March 28, 1914, in Bath, New Brunswick, the daughter of Charles and Emily (Oakes) Clark. She was a resident of Easton for more than 80 years, where she attended local schools. Mrs. Flanagan was employed by the former Vahlsing’s, Inc. Potato Processing Plant, Easton, and the former Potato Service Co., Presque Isle, until her retirement. She possessed a special love for flowers and enjoyed working many hours in her garden. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Flanagan was predeceased by two sons, Dana Flanagan and Gary Flanagan; and one brother, Shirley Clark. She is survived by one son, Philip Flanagan Sr. of Presque Isle; grandchildren, Carla Alexander, Philip “Bubby” Flanagan Jr., Lorraine Wilcox, Nicole Emerson, Charles Flanagan, Stewart Parks and Kirk Parks; one sister, Lola Boulier of Fort Fairfield; several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces. Friends may call noon until the time of service Wednesday, July 14, at Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield, where a funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. with the Rev. Mark Carter officiating. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. Relatives and friends are invited to a time of continued fellowship with refreshments immediately after the interment service at the home of Carol Kinney, 9 Blake St., Presque Isle.
