HAMPDEN – Audrey H. Junkins passed away peacefully July 16, 2010, surrounded by family at Massachusetts General Hospital, after complications from surgery. She was born Feb. 11, 1928, in New Bedford, Mass., to Joseph and Cora Hebert. Audrey was a caregiver her entire life, devoting more than 30 years to foster care of medically fragile children. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles W. Junkins; son, Dana Charles Junkins, four brothers and two sisters. She was also predeceased by three very special children, Jennifer, Kenny and Jacob. She is survived by her daughters, Joyce Neal of Atlanta and Jeri Carney and her husband, Tony Carney, of Hampden; grandchildren, MM1 Charles P. Junkins and his wife, Kristi, of Silverdale, Wash., and Carson and Cameron Carney of Hampden; great-grandchildren, Sean and Gabriella Junkins of Silverdale, Wash.; brother, Nelson Hebert of New Hampshire; and very special niece, Joyce Souza of Fairhaven, Mass. She will be deeply missed by her special friend and companion, Paul Dutil of Bangor. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 27, at Greenlawn Memorial Funeral Home, 300 State St., Bangor. Donations in her name may be made to All Saints Catholic School, P.O.
