BANGOR — Braddock Deabay pitched six innings, allowing one run on three hits with 11 strikeouts, to earn the win and propel Hermon to a 5-1 Senior League all-star baseball victory over Holbrook in the District 3 tourney Wednesday.
Wednesday’s second game was suspended in the top of the third inning with Hampden and Sebasticook tied 3-3. It will resume today at 2:30 p.m.
Hermon advanced to an elimination game today at 5 p.m. against Old Town. The winner of the Sebasticook vs. Hampden contest will play Orono-Veazie at 7:30 p.m.
The winner of the District 3 tourney gains a berth in the Senior League World Series.
Reid McGinley hit two singles to pace Hermon Wednesday.
Max Andrews singled twice to pace Holbrook, which was eliminated.
