VIENNA – Edwin Isak Kohtala, 79, peacefully went to be with the Lord Thursday, July 22, 2010, at Central Maine Medical Center, Lewiston. He was born July 4, 1931, in Vienna. In 1957, he married Marie Kohtala and raised his family on Vienna Mountain. He was a deacon and longtime member of Vienna Baptist Church. Eddie is survived by his wife, Marie Kohtala; sister, Mirjam Wood of Vienna; his son, Ed Kohtala and wife, Angie, of Orono; two daughters, Kathy Knight and husband, Karl, of Dixfield and Lory Zamboni and Dave of Wilton; son, John Kohtala and wife, Amy, of Poland; and his precious grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to call 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Wiles Remembrance Center, 137 Farmington Falls Road, Route 2 and Route 27, Farmington. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Vienna Baptist Church. Committal services at Village Cemetery, Vienna. All are welcome to attend a reception after the services at Vienna Fire House.
