ASHLAND – Adam C. Plourde, 44, died unexpectedly July 22, 2010, at his residence in Sheridan. He was born Oct. 8, 1965, in Bristol, Conn., the son of Carroll and Judy (Carney) Plourde. Adam had a passion for the outdoors and music. He loved gardening, camping, hiking, geology, mountain biking, cooking, the holidays and playing his guitar. He loved to spend time with his children, enjoying many adventures with the ATV, fireworks, paintball, concerts, camping and movies. Adam worked at Metal Finishing Techniques in Connecticut, for several years before becoming a self-employed silversmith, making handcrafted jewelry. His jewelry was sold from California to New York and overseas. He is survived by his mother of Sheridan; his father of Wells; one daughter, Maeghen Plourde and one son, Jordan Plourde, both of Bristol, Conn.; one sister, Alaine Plourde of Vermont; his nieces, Arin Lozefski, Justine and Carolyn Lazauskas, Teallia and Emily Sullivan; and his paternal grandmother, Lorna Plourde. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Mildred and Leonard Carney; and his paternal grandfather, Norman Plourde. A graveside committal service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mark Cemetery, Sheridan.
