PORTLAND, Maine — A 41-year-old Maine man is facing charges he stole more than $10,000 worth of the products he was supposed to deliver in the Portland area and then resold them.
Duane R. Greaton of New Gloucester was arrested Friday.
Cumberland County Sheriff’s Capt. Don Goulet said Greaton built a refrigerated storage area in his house for the stolen products.
Greaton was fired last year from his job for H.P. Hood after the company did its own investigation. The company then turned the case over to the sheriff’s department.
Greaton was released on bail. He’s due in court next month.
