FORT KENT – Geneva (Lozier) Desjardins, 86, died July 28, 2010, in Fort Kent, after a progressive illness. She was born April 2, 1924, in Soldier Pond, the daughter of Honore and Zeline (Daigle) Lozier. Geneva worked as clerk of court for more than 30 years in Fort Kent. She was a rabid bridge player, an avid golfer and she lifted her favorite hobby of crochet to an art form. She lost the love of her life and best friend, Patrick Henry Desjardins, Nov. 25, 1995. She had long been waiting to meet with him again. Geneva leaves her family, Patricia Desjardins of Caribou, Louise and Gary Haynes of Winn, Margret and Paul Russell of Assonet, Mass., and Laurie Desjardins and Betty Booher of Sebago; and one sister, Alphena Lozier of Bridgeport, Conn. Her grandchildren, Patrick, Sarah, Laura, Kevin, Kathy and Molly, will miss her encouragement and her baked goodies that made her what every memere should be. She also leaves three great-grandchildren that did not have the opportunity to be spoiled by her. Geneva will be truly missed by those she left behind. Friends may call 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday, July 31, at Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Committal services will be after in the parish cemetery.
