VAN BUREN – Alice L. Ouellette, 83, died July 30, 2010, at a Caribou hospital. She was born Feb. 16, 1927, in Van Buren, daughter of Delphis and Ouida (Cyr) Lamore. Alice worked at the school cafeteria in Van Buren for 19 years. She was a devoted Catholic and served as a Eucharistic minister in her parish for many years. She was a member of Evangeline Circle Daughters of Isabella, Third Order of Mary and American Legion Auxiliary Unit 49, Van Buren. She is survived by seven sons, Jean Ouellette and his wife, Raymonde, of East Hartford, Conn., Vaughn Ouellette and his wife, Bonnie, of Ellicott City, Md., Roderick Ouellette and his wife, Yvette, of St. Basil, New Brunswick, Glenn Ouellette of Manchester, N.H., Nelson Ouellette and his wife, Jeannine, of Terryville, Conn., Gary Ouellette and his wife, Nancy, of Holden and Gregory Ouellette and his wife, Louise, of Whitby, Ontario; four daughters, Joyce Michaud and her husband, Reno, of Winthrop, Cyndy Martin and her husband, Mel, of Manchester, N.H., Sharon George and her husband, Lloyd, of Forestville, Conn., and Laurie Ann McCormick and her husband, Harold, of Bossier City, La.; two sisters, Terry Lachmund of Manchester, Conn., and Hazel Maltais of St. Learnard, New Brunswick; one brother, Abel Lamore of Michigan; 22 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Alice was predeceased by her husband, Percy Ouellette, in 1989; one son, Steven Ouellette, in 1948; five brothers, Alfred, Albert, Clement, Joel and Elmer; and two sisters, Rita and Irene. Relatives and friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church, Van Buren. Committal service and interment will be in the parish cemetery.
