HARRINGTON – Elizabeth G. Scott, 82, passed peacefully to be with the Lord and her beloved husband, Robert, Aug. 1, 2010, at a Milbridge health care facility. She was born Sept. 13, 1927, in Harrington, daughter of Harold and Edith Grace. Lib enjoyed being around people and serving them. She operated her own store in Harrington for years, Scott’s Variety. Upon the sale of her business, she went to work for Elmer Morris at what is now Columbia Supermarket, where she worked until her retirement. She met and touched many people and made many friends. Lib was known around town for her homemade pies. She was a past member of Eastern Star, a lifelong member of Oseola Grange No. 570 and United Methodist Church, Harrington. Lib is survived by her son, Everett and his wife, Sherry; a grandson, Robbie and his wife, Emily; a sister-in-law, Alice Grace; several nieces and nephews. She also leaves her best friend, Tabby Cat. A graveside service will be celebrated 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, at Forest Hill Cemetery, Harrington.
