LEBANON, Maine — Maine State Police troopers are searching for a full-sized school bus that two women say hit the car they were driving from behind in the town of Lebanon.
The sisters Somerville, Mass., told police their car was traveling about 45 mph when it was hit from behind about noon on Monday. The car was pushed into a ditch, but the driver was able to get the car to the town’s rescue station parking lot and call for help.
The women were treated for neck and back pain, but they were not hospitalized. Their names were not released.
State police Sgt. Kathy Roope tells the Portland Press Herald local school buses were accounted for on Monday. Investigators are now checking to see if the bus came from New Hampshire.
