BUCKSPORT – Emmett Shell hit a two-run double to highlight a four-run first inning as Waldo County eliminated Bucksport in the state 10-11 baseball tournament with a 6-2 win Tuesday..
Waldo County advances to take on unbeaten York (2-0) in today’s 4 p.m. championship-round game. If Waldo wins, the two would meet in a winner-take-all title game Thursday at 4 p.m.
Brandon Smith collected two singles, an RBI and a run scored for Waldo. Colby Trask chipped in with a two-run single in the second inning.
Tyler Hayes paced Bucksport with a double, a single and an RBI. Riley MacLeod added an RBI sin-gle.
