FORT KENT – Muriel (Albert) Moreau, 67, died peacefully Aug. 10, 2010, surrounded by her family at her residence. She was born March 15, 1943, in Van Buren, the daughter of Dr. Leonce and Violet Albert. Muriel loved the outdoors – especially skiing, and enjoyed knitting and playing cards. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Louis Moreau of Fort Kent; two sons, David Moreau of Sydney and Patrick Moreau of Fort Kent; one daughter, Jane Moreau and her companion, Shawn Beaupre, both of Caribou; one special granddaughter, Jenna Moreau; seven brothers and sisters, Camille and his wife, Polly, of Washburn, Gertrude Albert of St. John, Catherine and Phil Pelletier of Fort Kent, Father James Albert of Cross Lake, Peter and his wife, Ann, of Presque Isle, Lucille Dube of Augusta, and Robert Albert; one sister-in-law, Joan Albert of Fort Kent; one brother-in-law, Reynold Martin of Cross Lake; one very special niece, Denise Johnson; many special nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Maurice and Dr. Rodrigue Albert; and one sister, Jackie Martin. Friends may call 8-9:30 a.m. Monday until the time of service at Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Burial will be at a later date at the parish cemetery.
