BRISTOL, Conn. – The Bangor East Little League All-Stars were eliminated from the New England Regionals on Wednesday.
Bangor East finished in a three-way tie for fourth place with Vermont and Massachusetts with a 1-3 record, and Vermont’s “runs allowed divided by defensive innings” earned them the tiebreaker that put it into the semifinals.
Bangor East finished the summer with a 10-4 record, fourth consecutive District 3 title and second straight state title.
Only Augusta North, Portland North and Old Town have won consecutive state championships.
