Wisdom 2, Fort Fairfield 1 (OT)

At Fort Fairfield, Curtis Picard scored from about 12 yards out with 1:18 remaining in overtime to lead Wisdom of St. Agatha over Fort Fairfield.

Picard also scored an unassisted goal with 13:27 left in the first half for 1-0 Wisdom. Ryan Blanchette saved 11 of 12 shots.

Travis Noyes tied it at 1-1 with 28:06 left in the second for 0-1 Fort Fairfield. Chris Weeks turned away nine of 11 shots.
 
    Central Aroostook 10, Easton 5

At Easton, Dan Brewer scored six goals in leading Central Aroostook of Mars Hill to victory over Easton.

Spencer Stetson had a hat trick for the 1-0 Panthers. Brandon Anthony had a goal and an assist. Dylan Murray and Tyler Rusby each provided an assist. Ross Grass saved 14 of 21 shots.

Holden Turner had four goals and an assist to lead the 0-1 Bears. Reid Clark totaled a goal and two assists. Ian Sotomayor also had an assist. Cody Tompkins made 18 saves on 31 shots.

    GIRLS SOCCER

Easton 3, Central Aroostook 2

At Easton, Carla Halvorson’s penalty-kick goal with just over 16 minutes remaining lifted the Bears to the season-opening win.

Halvorson had opened the game with a goal on an assist from Sidney Trask, and teammate Ariana Babineau then made it 2-0 on an assist from Meghan Frank.

Central Aroostook of Mars Hills’ Vicki McIntyre scored to draw her team within 2-1 at intermission, and the Panthers’ Sarah Grass tied the match with a second-half goal.

Easton goalie Haley Ambrose made 11 saves on 24 shots, while Paige Garrison made 14 saves on 28 shots for 0-1 Central Aroostook.

    Fort Fairfield 10, Wisdom 1

At Fort Fairfield, Logan Bubar scored three goals and assisted on another to lead the Fort Fairfield Tigers by Wisdom of St. Agatha.

Janae Libby had two goals and two assists for the 1-0 Tigers. Kacie York scored two goals while Abbey Player, Kylie Plourde and Jessica Goshorn each scored a goal. Katy Donovan made two saves on four shots.

Krystal Paradis scored the lone goal for 0-1 Wisdom. Hayley Cyr made 10 saves on 40 shots.

    Washburn 4, LCS/MSSM 2

At Limestone, Carsyn Koch scored two goals as Washburn topped Limestone Community School/Maine School of Science and Mathematics.

Carmen Bragg added a goal and an assist for the 1-0 Beavers. Kennedy Churchill also scored a goal.

Amanda Allen scored two second-half goals for the 0-1 Eagles. Daniele Pelkey provided an assist.

Rayah Saucier saved 14of 20 shots for Washburn while the Eagles’ Autumn Beauchamp made 20 saves off 33 shots.
